How Do We Work with Companies Already in the GCC?

At first glance, Vision Business Development may appear focused solely on helping companies outside the GCC enter the region—whether to attract investment, form partnerships, or gain clients. And it’s true: around 95% of the business inquiries we receive come from companies not yet active in the UAE or Saudi Arabia.

However, that doesn’t mean we can’t bring value to companies already established in the region.


First, even companies with years of experience in the GCC are continually seeking new growth avenues—whether by entering new niches within the same country or by expanding into neighboring markets. In fact, one of my first clients in the UAE, back in 2013, already had an office in Dubai but approached us for support in expanding into Saudi Arabia. Since 2020, such requests have become increasingly common.


Second, we often assist companies that are already operating in the region but looking to diversify their client base. For instance, private-sector service providers may want to break into the government sector. Companies working with banks may be exploring opportunities in telecom. Strategy consultants with a few local clients may aim to raise their visibility across multiple industries. These are common scenarios where our insight and support make a difference.


Third, many companies established in the GCC benefit from an external perspective on their business development strategy. We often help clients refine how they present themselves—from the tone and structure of their outreach to the channels they use, the quality of follow-up, and even the color palette on their websites. Small elements such as the frequency of communication, presentation materials, or landing page headlines may seem minor but can play a significant role—especially at a mature stage of development, where such details are often overlooked internally.


Finally, we also support established GCC-based companies—both local and international—in exploring opportunities beyond the region. Some are searching for investment targets abroad, others are seeking international partnerships or want to tap into global innovation ecosystems. For these needs, we offer tailored cross-border solutions.


One example: in 2021, we organized a business trip to Ukraine for a group of companies from the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The goal was to connect them with top-tier IT firms in the region and facilitate meetings with key government officials overseeing digital infrastructure and startup development.


There have also been multiple occasions where we searched for investment opportunities in Eastern Europe based on specific requests from Saudi partners.

In short, whether you're new to the region or already deeply rooted in it, our mission remains the same: to help you grow—strategically, regionally, and globally.
